Oregon Lodging Association continues to build and strengthen alliances with various industry organizations, promoting cooperative relationships to unify the tourism and hospitality industry. The Tourism & Hospitality Industry Consortium, facilitated by Travel Oregon, is made up of representatives from both public and private entities and meets on a quarterly basis to discuss issues impacting tourism, hospitality and other related interests throughout Oregon. Through a shared leadership philosophy and unified voice, our industry will be in a stronger position, more visible and valued role in shaping the future of our state.

Travel Oregon serves as the state's tourism organization, a semi-independent agency funded by the 1% statewide transient lodging tax to implement strategic marketing and tourism development programs. Five of the nine commissioners appointed by the Governor represent lodging properties in Oregon. In addition to hosting the lodging listings on their consumer website, Travel Oregon, in cooperation with OLA and Mediamerica, produces the Oregon Trip Planner.

Regional Destination Marketing Organizations partner with Travel Oregon for the purpose of attracting visitors to their specific region. Destination Marketing Organizations are organizations whose primary function is to attract visitors to its locale for the purpose of enhancing the local economy through purchase of room nights, food and beverage, retail items, transportation, visitor services, etc.

Travel Information Council is a self-funded state agency, linking Oregon motorists with businesses through highway signs, rest area advertising products, TripCheck.com listings, wireless internet connections, and staffed welcome centers.

Oregon Restaurant Association, comprised of more than 9,000 restaurant and foodservice outlets around the state, works with its Education Foundation to represent, educate and promote the restaurant industry.
